I’m David, owner of David’s Urgent Garage Door in St. Louis Park. Most of the emergency calls I get in winter, broken springs, snapped cables, doors off the track, start as small problems that a yearly check would have caught. The Care Plan is a simple way to keep your door safe and quiet and to plan repairs before they become emergencies.
What’s included
- One full tune-up per year on one residential garage door and its opener (add a second door at the same visit for another $155).
- 20-point inspection and adjustment (list below).
- Lubrication of rollers, hinges, bearings and springs with garage-door lubricant.
- Written condition report with photos, so you know what’s fine, what to watch, and what may need work later.
- A personal reminder from David when your next yearly visit is due. You choose whether to book it.
- The same honest pricing as always: if a part needs replacing, you get the exact price first, and nothing is done without your OK.
The 20-point inspection
Price
- $155 per door, per year, paid at the visit.
- New door customers: 10% off. Buy a new garage door from us and add the Care Plan, and your yearly visit is $139.50 per door (10% off) for as long as you keep the plan. Your new door stays balanced, quiet and safe, and you never have to remember when it’s due.
- Parts and repairs found during the visit are not included. You get a written price first and decide.
- Every repair I do carries a 1-year labor warranty.
- Seasonal deals on special offers can’t be combined with the plan price.
Plan terms (plain English)
- This is a scheduled-maintenance plan only. It is not a warranty, an extended warranty, insurance, or a service contract, and it does not pay for repairs or parts.
- No automatic renewal and no subscription. We send a reminder each year; you decide whether to book.
- No prepayment. You pay only when the visit is done. If you change your mind, just cancel the appointment.
- Residential garage doors only, in our Twin Cities service area.
- Prices may change for future years; you’ll always see the current price before you book.
Add the Annual Care Plan when you buy your new door and save 10% on every yearly visit ($139.50 instead of $155). A new door is a big investment; a yearly tune-up keeps the springs, cables and opener set right so it lasts as long as it should. See new garage door installation.
Who it’s for
- Families who use the garage as the front door (4 or more cycles a day).
- Doors 8+ years old, or with original springs and cables.
- Anyone who just bought a new door and wants it to stay like new (10% off the plan).
- Anyone who’d rather plan repairs than get stuck on a frozen January morning.

FAQ
How often should a garage door be serviced?
Once a year for most homes, ideally in the fall before the cold. Very busy doors can benefit from a spring and fall visit.
Does the plan cover repairs?
No. The plan covers the yearly tune-up and inspection. If something needs replacing, you get the exact price first and decide.
Do I have to sign a contract or prepay?
No. There’s nothing to prepay and nothing renews automatically. You pay at the visit.
